What to do when cows’ milk isn’t suitable for your baby?
Around three percent of children have trouble digesting cows’ milk but the majority outgrow this as they grow older. Some babies can have problems with the cows’ milk proteins – if this is the case then breast feeding should always continue until you have spoken with your health care professional. On confirmation your health care professional may suggest you to restrict your diet. Remember it is essential to take medical and dietetic advice before doing this.
If your baby is having formula then your health care professional may recommend the most suitable alternative or you can call our team of experts at Kariclub for advice. If your baby has confirmed problems with the digestion of cows’ milk then a special formula may be recommended.
If you would prefer a cows’ milk free formula for other reasons then a goat or soy formula may be suitable.
