Chicken livers and beef mince

Ingredients:
• 125 grams (about 3 doubled-lobed chicken livers) • 1 tablespoon oil • 100 grams lean beef mince • 1 cup peeled, grated gold or orange kumara, or sweet potato • 1 teaspoon yeast extract (e.g. Marmite or Vegemite) • 1 to 1 ¼ cups water • ¼ cup cooked rice
Method:
Trim chicken livers and chop roughly.
Heat the oil in a frying pan then when hot add chicken livers and mince. Cook, stirring until meat is no longer pink.
Add grated kumara/sweet potato and yeast extract and 1 cup of water. Bring to a gentle boil, then cover and simmer for about 25 minutes. Add the extra water if needed during cooking. Puree in a food processor with cooked rice.
